Apply for a deferment on your student loan

A deferment is simply an official 12-month postponement of your repayments which allows people that have an income below the set threshold of £28,828 per annum to only begin paying when their income allows for it. Disabled individuals may qualify for a deferment period of up to 36 months.

To apply for a deferment on you student loan you need to complete the deferment application form available online from Erudio Student Loans and return it to us with proof of income. Once we have received your deferment application form we will notify you of our decision within 28 days. If you have not yet received confirmation that your deferral has been accepted your repayments will be due until further notice.
